ਅਨਿਕ ਭਗਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਜਨ ਤਾਰੇ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਅਨਿਕ ਮੁਨੀ ॥

anik bhagat anik jan taare simareh anik munee ||

You have saved so many devotees, so many humble servants; so many silent sages contemplate You.

ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਟਿਕ ਨਿਰਧਨ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਗੁਨੀ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੨੭॥

a(n)dhule Tik niradhan dhan paio prabh naanak anik gunee ||2||2||127||

The support of the blind, the wealth of the poor; Nanak has found God, of endless virtues. ||2||2||127||

ਮੋਹਨ ਨੀਦ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਾਵੈ ਹਾਰ ਕਜਰ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਅਭਰਨ ਕੀਨੇ ॥

mohan needh na aavai haavai haar kajar basatr abharan keene ||

O Enticing Lord, I cannot sleep; I sigh. I am adorned with necklaces, gowns, ornaments and make-up.

ਉਡੀਨੀ ਉਡੀਨੀ ਉਡੀਨੀ ॥

auddeenee uddeenee uddeenee ||

I am sad, sad and depressed.

ਕਬ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

kab ghar aavai ree ||1|| rahaau ||

When will You come home? ||1||Pause||

ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਹਾਗਨਿ ਚਰਨ ਸੀਸੁ ਧਰਿ ॥

saran suhaagan charan sees dhar ||

I seek the Sanctuary of the happy soul-brides; I place my head upon their feet.

ਲਾਲਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਹੁ ॥

laalan moh milaavahu ||

Unite me with my Beloved.

ਕਬ ਘਰਿ ਆਵੈ ਰੀ ॥੧॥

kab ghar aavai ree ||1||

When will He come to my home? ||1||

ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸਹੇਰੀ ਮਿਲਨ ਬਾਤ ਕਹਉ ਸਗਰੋ ਅਹੰ ਮਿਟਾਵਹੁ ਤਉ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ॥

sunahu saheree milan baat kahau sagaro aha(n) miTaavahu tau ghar hee laalan paavahu ||

Listen, my companions: tell me how to meet Him. Eradicate all egotism, and then you shall find your Beloved Lord within the home of your heart.

ਤਬ ਰਸ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹੁ ॥

tab ras ma(n)gal gun gaavahu ||

Then, in delight, you shall sing the songs of joy and praise.

ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਧਿਆਵਹੁ ॥

aanadh roop dhiaavahu ||

Meditate on the Lord, the embodiment of bliss.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥

naanak dhuaarai aaio ||

O Nanak, I came to the Lord's Door,

ਤਉ ਮੈ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਰੀ ॥੨॥

tau mai laalan paio ree ||2||

and then, I found my Beloved. ||2||

ਮੋਹਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਦਿਖਾਵੈ ॥

mohan roop dhikhaavai ||

The Enticing Lord has revealed His form to me,

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਨੀਦ ਸੁਹਾਵੈ ॥

ab moh needh suhaavai ||

and now, sleep seems sweet to me.

ਸਭ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਿਖਾ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ॥

sabh meree tikhaa bujhaanee ||

My thirst is totally quenched,

ਅਬ ਮੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਨੀ ॥

ab mai sahaj samaanee ||

and now, I am absorbed in celestial bliss.

ਮੀਠੀ ਪਿਰਹਿ ਕਹਾਨੀ ॥

meeThee pireh kahaanee ||

How sweet is the story of my Husband Lord.

ਮੋਹਨੁ ਲਾਲਨੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਰੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੧੨੮॥

mohan laalan paio ree || rahaau dhoojaa ||1||128||

I have found my Beloved, Enticing Lord. ||Second Pause||1||128||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

bilaaval mahalaa panjavaa ||

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:

ਮੋਰੀ ਅਹੰ ਜਾਇ ਦਰਸਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਹੇ ॥

moree aha(n) jai dharasan paavat he ||

My ego is gone; I have obtained the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan.

ਰਾਚਹੁ ਨਾਥ ਹੀ ਸਹਾਈ ਸੰਤਨਾ ॥

raachahu naath hee sahaiee sa(n)tanaa ||

I am absorbed in my Lord and Master, the help and support of the Saints.

ਅਬ ਚਰਨ ਗਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ab charan gahe ||1|| rahaau ||

Now, I hold tight to His Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਆਹੇ ਮਨ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਭਾਵੈ ਚਰਨਾਵੈ ਚਰਨਾਵੈ ਉਲਝਿਓ ਅਲਿ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਕਮਲ ਜਿਉ ॥

aahe man avar na bhaavai charanaavai charanaavai ulajhio al makara(n)dh kamal jiau ||

My mind longs for Him, and does not love any other. I am totally absorbed, in love with His Lotus Feet, like the bumble bee attached to the honey of the lotus flower.

ਅਨ ਰਸ ਨਹੀ ਚਾਹੈ ਏਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹੈ ॥੧॥

an ras nahee chaahai ekai har laahai ||1||

I do not desire any other taste; I seek only the One Lord. ||1||

ਅਨ ਤੇ ਟੂਟੀਐ ਰਿਖ ਤੇ ਛੂਟੀਐ ॥

an te TooTeeaai rikh te chhooTeeaai ||

I have broken away from the others, and I have been released from the Messenger of Death.

ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਰਸ ਘੂਟੀਐ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਉਲਟੀਐ ॥

man har ras ghooTeeaai sa(n)g saadhoo ulaTeeaai ||

O mind, drink in the subtle essence of the Lord; join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and turn away from the world.

ਅਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੇ ॥

an naahee naahee re ||

There is no other, none other than the Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਚਰਨ ਹੇ ॥੨॥੨॥੧੨੯॥

naanak preet charan charan he ||2||2||129||

O Nanak, love the Feet, the Feet of the Lord. ||2||2||129||

Raag Bilaaval, Ninth Mehla, Dho-Padhay:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ਦੁਖ ਹਰਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਛਾਨੋ ॥

dhukh harataa har naam pachhaano ||

The Name of the Lord is the Dispeller of sorrow - realize this.

ਅਜਾਮਲੁ ਗਨਿਕਾ ਜਿਹ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮੁਕਤ ਭਏ ਜੀਅ ਜਾਨੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ajaamal ganikaa jeh simarat mukat bhe jeea jaano ||1|| rahaau ||

Remembering Him in meditation, even Ajaamal the robber and Ganikaa the prostitute were liberated; let your soul know this. ||1||Pause||

ਗਜ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟੀ ਛਿਨਹੂ ਮਹਿ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਰਾਮੁ ਬਖਾਨੋ ॥

gaj kee traas miTee chhinahoo meh jab hee raam bakhaano ||

The elephant's fear was taken away in an instant, as soon as he chanted the Lord's Name.

ਨਾਰਦ ਕਹਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਧ੍ਰੂਅ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਭਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਲਪਟਾਨੋ ॥੧॥

naaradh kahat sunat dhraooa baarik bhajan maeh lapaTaano ||1||

Listening to Naarad's teachings, the child Dhroo was absorbed in deep meditation. ||1||

ਅਚਲ ਅਮਰ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਜਗਤ ਜਾਹਿ ਹੈਰਾਨੋ ॥

achal amar nirabhai padh paio jagat jaeh hairaano ||

He obtained the immovable, eternal state of fearlessness, and all the world was amazed.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਭਗਤ ਰਛਕ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਤੁਮ ਮਾਨੋ ॥੨॥੧॥

naanak kahat bhagat rachhak har nikaT taeh tum maano ||2||1||

Says Nanak, the Lord is the Saving Grace and the Protector of His devotees; believe it - He is close to you. ||2||1||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥

bilaaval mahalaa nauvaa ||

Bilaaval, Ninth Mehla:

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥

har ke naam binaa dhukh paavai ||

Without the Name of the Lord, you shall only find pain.

ਭਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਨਹ ਚੂਕੈ ਗੁਰੁ ਇਹੁ ਭੇਦੁ ਬਤਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhagat binaa sahasaa neh chookai gur ih bhedh bataavai ||1|| rahaau ||

Without devotional worship, doubt is not dispelled; the Guru has revealed this secret. ||1||Pause||

ਕਹਾ ਭਇਓ ਤੀਰਥ ਬ੍ਰਤ ਕੀਏ ਰਾਮ ਸਰਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥

kahaa bhio teerath brat ke'ee raam saran nahee aavai ||

Of what use are sacred shrines of pilgrimage, if one does not enter the Sanctuary of the Lord?
