ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ॥

bhagat janaa kee benatee sunee prabh aap ||

God Himself has heard the prayers of His humble devotees.

ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਾਇ ਜੀਵਾਲਿਅਨੁ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥੧॥

rog miTai jeevaalian jaa kaa vadd parataap ||1||

He dispelled my disease, and rejuvenated me; His glorious radiance is so great! ||1||

ਦੋਖ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਬਖਸਿਅਨੁ ਅਪਣੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥

dhokh hamaare bakhasian apanee kal dhaaree ||

He has forgiven me for my sins, and interceded with His power.

ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਦਿਤਿਅਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੨॥੧੬॥੮੦॥

man baa(n)chhat fal dhitian naanak balihaaree ||2||16||80||

I have been blessed with the fruits of my mind's desires; Nanak is a sacrifice to Him. ||2||16||80||

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਮੇਰੇ ਮੋਹਨ ਸ੍ਰਵਨੀ ਇਹ ਨ ਸੁਨਾਏ ॥ ਸਾਕਤ ਗੀਤ ਨਾਦ ਧੁਨਿ ਗਾਵਤ ਬੋਲਤ ਬੋਲ ਅਜਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mere mohan sravanee ieh na sunaae || saakat geet naadh dhun gaavat bolat bol ajaae ||1|| rahaau ||

O my fascinating Lord, let me not listen to the faithless cynic, singing his songs and tunes, and chanting his useless words. ||1||Pause||

ਸੇਵਤ ਸੇਵਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਾਧ ਸੇਵਉ ਸਦਾ ਕਰਉ ਕਿਰਤਾਏ ॥

sevat sev sev saadh sevau sadhaa karau kirataae ||

I serve, serve, serve, serve the Holy Saints; forever and ever, I do this.

ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਉ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾਤੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥੧॥

abhai dhaan paavau purakh dhaate mil sa(n)gat har gun gaae ||1||

The Primal Lord, the Great Giver, has blessed me with the gift of fearlessness. Joining the Company of the Holy, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||

ਰਸਨਾ ਅਗਹ ਅਗਹ ਗੁਨ ਰਾਤੀ ਨੈਨ ਦਰਸ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਏ ॥

rasanaa ageh ageh gun raatee nain dharas ra(n)g laae ||

My tongue is imbued with the Praises of the inaccessible and unfathomable Lord, and my eyes are drenched with the Blessed Vision of His Darshan.

ਹੋਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਮੋਹਿ ਚਰਣ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸਾਏ ॥੨॥

hoh kirapaal dheen dhukh bha(n)jan moh charan ridhai vasaae ||2||

Be Merciful to me, O Destroyer of the pains of the meek, that I may enshrine Your Lotus Feet within my heart. ||2||

ਸਭਹੂ ਤਲੈ ਤਲੈ ਸਭ ਊਪਰਿ ਏਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਏ ॥

sabhahoo talai talai sabh uoopar eh dhirasaT dhirasaTaae ||

Beneath all, and above all; this is the vision I saw.

ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਇ ਖੋਈ ਹਉ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ॥੩॥

abhimaan khoi khoi khoi khoiee hau mo kau satigur ma(n)tr dhiraRaae ||3||

I have destroyed, destroyed, destroyed my pride, since the True Guru implanted His Mantra within me. ||3||

ਅਤੁਲੁ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਨਹ ਤੁਲੀਐ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਕਿਰਪਾਏ ॥

atul atul atul neh tuleeaai bhagat vachhal kirapaae ||

Immeasurable, immeasurable, immeasurable is the Merciful Lord; he cannot be weighed. He is the Lover of His devotees.

ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਭੈ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੪॥੧॥੮੧॥

jo jo saran pario gur naanak abhai dhaan sukh paae ||4||1||81||

Whoever enters the Sanctuary of Guru Nanak, is blessed with the gifts of fearlessness and peace. ||4||||1||81||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਅਧਾਰੈ ॥

prabh jee too mere praan adhaarai ||

O Dear God, You are the Support of my breath of life.

ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਡੰਡਉਤਿ ਬੰਦਨਾ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਜਾਉ ਬਾਰੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

namasakaar dda(n)ddaut ba(n)dhanaa anik baar jaau baarai ||1|| rahaau ||

I bow in humility and reverence to You; so many times, I am a sacrifice. ||1||Pause||

ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੈ ॥

uooThat baiThat sovat jaagat ih man tujheh chitaarai ||

Sitting down, standing up, sleeping and waking, this mind thinks of You.

ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਤੁਝ ਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਰੈ ॥੧॥

sookh dhookh is man kee birathaa tujh hee aagai saarai ||1||

I describe to You my pleasure and pain, and the state of this mind. ||1||

ਤੂ ਮੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਬਲ ਬੁਧਿ ਧਨੁ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੁਮਹਿ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਰਵਾਰੈ ॥

too meree oT bal budh dhan tum hee tumeh merai paravaarai ||

You are my shelter and support, power, intellect and wealth; You are my family.

ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਹਮਰੈ ਪੇਖਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਚਰਨਾਰੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੮੨॥

jo tum karahu soiee bhal hamarai pekh naanak sukh charanaarai ||2||2||82||

Whatever You do, I know that is good. Gazing upon Your Lotus Feet, Nanak is at peace. ||2||2||82||

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehla:

ਸੁਨੀਅਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਉ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰਨ ॥

suneeat prabh tau sagal udhaaran ||

I have heard that God is the Savior of all.

ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਪਤਿਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਐਸੇ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਨ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

moh magan patit sa(n)g praanee aaise maneh bisaaran ||1|| rahaau ||

Intoxicated by attachment, in the company of sinners, the mortal has forgotten such a Lord from his mind. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਚਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੇ ਗ੍ਰਾਹਜੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਡਾਰਨ ॥

sa(n)ch bikhiaa le graahaj keenee a(n)mrit man te ddaaran ||

He has collected poison, and grasped it firmly. But he has cast out the Ambrosial Nectar from his mind.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਰਤੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਨ ॥੧॥

kaam karodh lobh rat ni(n)dhaa sat sa(n)tokh bidhaaran ||1||

He is imbued with sexual desire, anger, greed and slander; he has abandoned truth and contentment. ||1||

ਇਨ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ਤੁਮੑ ਸਾਰਨ ॥

ein te kaadd leh mere suaamee haar pare tum(h) saaran ||

Lift me up, and pull me out of these, O my Lord and Master. I have entered Your Sanctuary.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਹਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਰੰਕ ਤਾਰਨ ॥੨॥੩॥੮੩॥

naanak kee bena(n)tee prabh peh saadhasa(n)g ra(n)k taaran ||2||3||83||

Nanak prays to God: I am a poor beggar; carry me across, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||3||83||

ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੁਨੀਅਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਬਾਤ ॥

sa(n)tan kai suneeat prabh kee baat ||

I listen to God's Teachings from the Saints.

ਕਥਾ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਆਨੰਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਧੁਨਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਅਰੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

kathaa keeratan aana(n)dh ma(n)gal dhun poor rahee dhinas ar raat ||1|| rahaau ||

The Lord's Sermon, the Kirtan of His Praises and the songs of bliss perfectly resonate, day and night. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥

kar kirapaa apane prabh keene naam apune kee keenee dhaat ||

In His Mercy, God has made them His own, and blessed them with the gift of His Name.

ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ॥੧॥

aaTh pahar gun gaavat prabh ke kaam karodh is tan te jaat ||1||

Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glorious Praises of God. Sexual desire and anger have left this body. ||1||
